Day 1 - Welcome, Kahoot!

Céad míle fáilte!

15 participants from 13 schools in 10 countries.

Our teacher, Michael made his presentation about Ireland, Dublin, and so we did about our country, town, and school. The majority of teachers came from vocational schools.

Kahoot! can be a tool of assessment, you have to choose 'formative assessment'. You may limit time, give a deadline, etc.

Educational Apps and Audiovisuals in the Classroom - Teacher training course 2021

Participant: Kárász Péterné

Course location: Dublin, Haddington Place D04 RD88

(the former St Mary's Boy School)

Course dates: 09/08/2021 - 20/08/2021

Teachers: Michael Farrell & Louis Schmidt

Before my arrival

In order to be free of any quarantine requirements when arriving in Ireland, I needed to have either an EU Digital Covid Certificate or valid proof of a PCR test done less than 72 hours before arrival in Ireland.

I needed to fill in the Passenger Locator Form. This is a legal requirement in Ireland. Not filling out the form was seen as a legal offense and would be fined.

A few days before the start of my training, I was sent a link via email, asking me to fill out a declaration to confirm that I didn’t suffer an acute infection of Covid-19 and that I was familiar with the Health and Safety guidelines for preventing the spread of Covid-19.

A questionnaire had to be filled in by every participant (Padlet), our answers and comments helped our teachers to adapt the training course to our needs. The questions covered our previous training experiences, and the aims of our present project.

As part of my participation, I was required to prepare a 5-minute presentation (included visual component (e.g slide show) about my work and my school. I had to include some information about my city and country. My electronic presentation material had to be forwarded via email or sharing a link.
